Welcome to Westleton
Westleton is a thriving village with a hotel, a pub, a village shop with tea room and Old Chapel Books - browse away for hours here, Bob will be delighted to help. There is the Crown Hotel offering delcious meals in its old timbered bar, or conservatory and garden. There is the White Horse pub too on the corner of the green. This is a great base to explore from. Heathland and forest leads to the coast and there are wonderful walks or cycle rides from the village, for miles all around. Southwold and Aldeburgh are an easy drive.
Next door Dunwich has a long stony beach, and in the centre of the village is Dunwich Museum, a great place for adults and children! Flora Tea Rooms (famous fish and chips you can eat right on the beach) and the Dunwich Ship Inn, with its traditional wooden bar and seating, as well as its up-to-date conservatory for dining. Nearby is Minsmere Bird Reserve and Dunwich Heath National Trust property, as well as the Dunwich forest.
What you need to know about Westleton:
A friendly village with plenty on offer in the village itself, and great walks and cycling from here to the coast. Minsmere is just next door, famous these days after Springwatch!
