8 Hill Cottages Bramfield

8 Hill Cottages is a traditional timber framed cottage built circa 1750 and extended between the wars. It retains many original features including oak beams, wattle and daub walls and a bread oven. Situated in the village of Bramfield with its unusual church with separate round tower, an award winning pub, an outstanding family butchers and a local shop all in easy walking distance of the cottage. Recently redecorated .  Available for weekly bookings and short breaks throughout the year.

Guest Review: We loved finding out about the history of 8 Hill Cottages and how it had been updated to what it is today. It had everything that we needed for a restful and cosy stay. The cottage was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The facilities were excellent and it was lovely to view the sunset across the fields from the back garden. The off-road parking space was useful and only a short walk from the cottage. The goodies, including a delicious homemade cake, were very much appreciated. We visited Southwold (Dogs not allowed on the beach April to the end of September), Dunwich and Walberswick beaches (both dog friendly) and the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum near Bungay (Dog Friendly). Halesworth was very close by for shopping and it has a great park and walks for your dog. We would highly recommend this cottage to others. Thank you to the owners. 5 STARS! KB July 2023

  • We enjoyed staying at the cottage, it has some lovely old features but with modern facilities, which makes it really comfortable. We brought our bikes and were able to store them in a secure shed. Bramfield is a great base for exploring this part of Suffolk. The Queens Head is a lovely pub, walking distance away - torch provided in the cottage, which you need as it's very dark at night - and makes the cottage back garden excellent for star gazing!
