This spacious family house, in Walberswick is ideal for one or two families. Edge of village location with a large peaceful garden and views to the sea from down and upstairs. Just refurbished and redecorated throughout, there is plenty of living accommodation and a wonderful patio area for alfresco dining. Walk from the door to the beach and wonderful wildlife spotting on the way.

Local Area

Pub: There is the Anchor and the Bell Hotel in the village, for Adnams ales and both receive good foodie reviews. Many more pubs and restaurants in Southwold, Dunwich, Westleton or further along the coast by bike or car.

Shop: Village Co-op store five minutes walk away and local Black Dog deli open in summer season too.

Beach: Easy walk to Walberswick beach and famous crabbing bridge, or to Southwold beach via the Bailey bridge or local ferry in summer season. A favourite walk is to head south to Dunwich along footpaths and enjoy the quieter end of the beach .

Other Local Attractions:

The famous seaside town of Southwold is an easy walk or cycle ride  away, across the Bailey Bridge  and Dunwich is a short drive away or walk along the beach , and visit the Dunwich Museum and famous fish and chip shop on the beach.  

 

Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Orford and the internationally renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall are an easy half an hour's drive away.

RSPB Minsmere Reserve is well known for its avocets, marsh harriers and bitterns.There are National Trust properties like Dunwich Heath and Sutton Hoo, and English Heritage's Orford Castle to visit.

There are numerous footpaths for dogwalkers too..  and cycle paths, and golf clay pigeon shooting horse riding are all available locally.

Booking Conditions

  1. A deposit of 25% of the weekly rental is payable by the client at the time of booking. The full balance of the holiday cost is payable 6 weeks before the start date. If booking less than 6 weeks before the commencement date the full rental is required on booking. 
  2. All cancellations must be notified in writing. The agent will endeavour to relet the cottage. If successful the client will be refunded in full, but if not all monies paid by the client shall be forfeited. We recommend cancellation insurance.
  3. Bookings run from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure.  The client is responsible for  leaving the accommodation in good order and in the same clean condition as they found it. The good housekeeping deposit of £250 will be used to pay for any breakages or damage, and will be returned to you once the housekeeper’s check on your departure has been made.
  4. Those named on the reservation form may only use the accommodation. Subletting or assignment is not permitted.
  5. The owners cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to client’s baggage or personal effects. We recommend insurance to cover your property and personal effects.
  6. Whilst every effort is made to ensure all the equipment of property let is in working order., occasionally breakdowns occur. The client is requested to inform the proprietors should this happen, so repairs or remedial action can promptly be initiated.
  7. Smoking is not permitted inside any of the  property.
  8. One small, well-behaved dog is allowed by prior arrangement with the agent, and the charge is £20 per week or short stay. A dog is not allowed on beds or furniture of a property and must not be left unattended at any time.
  9. It is the client’s responsibility to supervise children at all times. The owners accept no responsibility for any accident, injury or sickness howsoever caused.
