Welcome to Bramfield Village
Bramfield is an ideal location for a cottage holiday, easy to reach by car, just off the A12 and midway between Southwold and Aldeburgh. The village has a round tower church, unique that it is not joined to the main building. It is on a quiet road leading towards Walpole and can be part of a circular walk around the Glue Pot too. Note the crinkle-crankle wall opposite the church entrance too.
There are numerous footpaths that take you towards Wenhaston and Thorington or Walpole. You can cycle on the local roads and explore Huntingfield, Heveningham and Ubbeston inland, or to Darsham, Westleton, Dunwich and Walberswick closer to the beach.
The Queen's Head is a friendly pub with a range of local beers on offer and a changing menu, having been refurbished and reopened in September 2016. An enclosed garden at the rear makes this ideal for families. Clarke's the Butchers is a long established family business on Low Road and offers a fantastic range of meat, deli counter, groceries, papers and milk. Helpful friendly staff will find what you need or direct you to there. Many visitors pack their car boots with Clarke's quality products to take home with them... cooked ham a specialty.
North Manor Equestrian Centre is run by Valli Hayes, Bramfield born who knows her horses and ponies well. Lessons and hacks are available, children just love it!
You can be playing at Halesworth Golf Club, clay pigeon shooting at High Lodge or fishing at Willow Lakes all within 10 minutes drive from here.
