Whatever time of the year, all these holiday homes - for couples, families and in many, the dog can come too.. are ideally situated for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast, countryside, and inland towns and villages.

The famous seaside town of Southwold, and next-door Walberswick and Dunwich are a short drive away and Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Orford and the internationally renowned Concert Hall at Snape Maltings are less than half an hour’s drive. Inland are Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth and Framlingham to name a few.

More beautiful villages inland too are Westleton with its well-known Old Chapel Books and Middleton with Reckford Roost Farm Shop.

WenhastonBramfield, Blyford, Huntingfield and Blythburgh have interesting churches to visit as well as local friendly, and dog-friendly, pubs.

Nearby RSPB Minsmere Reserve is well known for its avocets, marsh harriers and bitterns, and welcomes visitors throughout the year. There are National Trust properties such as Dunwich Heath and Sutton Hoo, and English Heritage's Orford Castle to visit.

There are numerous footpaths to follow like the Suffolk Coast Path or shorter walks around Dunwich Heath, Walberswick to Dunwich along the coast and then back inland via the Dingle. There are plenty of cycle paths and tracks. Golf, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding and sailing are all available locally.
