Suffolk Cycling Stays
Welcome to Suffolk Cycling Stays
Why not bring your bicycles and discover the beautiful Suffolk landscape and coastline on your next Suffolk coastal cottage holiday break?

There is one obvious advantage to cycling in Suffolk - the distinct absence of hills, as you navigate the slightly undulating landscape that borders the five estuaries bisecting the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB.
Cycling is a great way to explore the bridleways, forest tracks and extensive network of designated cycle routes in this lovely corner of England.
There really is something for everyone. Enthusiasts return again and again to the Suffolk Coastal Cycle Route - you can ride the whole 88 miles of this circular route in one chunk or just explore parts of it at a gentler pace. You can wander onto off-road forest tracks or maybe take a leisurely tour of beautiful coastal villages like Dunwich and Walberswick, follow inland to Wenhaston and join the Halesworth Wheel Cycle Route, or part of it, or ride to the inland market towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge. It really is a great way to see Suffolk at its best. Copies of the route are available from www.suffolkcoastandheaths.org.
And for 'gentle cyclists' cycling straight from the door down quiet lanes is ideal. Little traffic, flat country roads and the place is all yours, often! There are many cafés and pubs welcoming cyclists.
When planning your cycling break in Suffolk you can of course bring your own bikes or for a really hassle-free option try Suffolk Cycle Hire - they will deliver your hire bikes direct to your cottage door but you do need to pre-book. One thing to look out for is some secure storage for your bikes, so always check accommodation first.
