Leman Cottage at Wenhaston

Stunningly and sympathetically restored, Leman Cottage is steeped in history. This really is a beautiful cottage with the idiosyncrasies of the original 17th century structure, combined with all the modern comforts of today. From the heavily beamed ceilings and open brickwork to the elm floorboards and original bread oven, Leman oozes unspoilt character. Comfortably furnished throughout Leman is particularly spacious and with a large en-suite to the master king-size bedroom. Ideal for families or couples. In a quiet, countryside location. Sleeps 5 plus cot. 10 minutes drive to Southwold and coastal villages, 15 minute walk to village pub, 10 minute walk to village shop. Off-road parking for three cars. EV charger available.

Guest Review:

The cottage was very well equipped, warm and cosy.

The Angel at Halesworth was excellent, very friendly staff and delicious food. Also good meals at
the Queen’s Head at Byford and the Queen’s Head at Bramfield.
Very peaceful, lovely driving round the quiet country lanes.
Enjoyed meeting you Trish and hearing all about the area, the house was a treat! Best wishes, Jill and Anne Septembr 2024
Lovely stay at Leman again. Cosy, comfy and I sleep like a dream!  Our small dog likes a roll on the garden grass and walks on the nearby heath. Recommend chinese takeaway at Halesworth market place and Dunwich fish n'chips by the beach. Two Magpies Bakery just down A12 is good for bread. We also like the farm shop at Friday Street. Antiques at Yoxford, beach walk in Walberswick is a must. Wenhaston village hall if you catch coffee morning good to support. Enjoy!
Thank you for making our short stay such joy! the house is just wonderful.  Each time we come we find something amazing! The beds are so comfortableand garden just right for our dear dachshund Hotspur! See you next year, AS and family August 2024

We had a marvellous stay, thank you so much for everything, we loved every unique detail from the Mattos girls age 10 and 6! August 2024

Our stay at Leman cottage in mid July couldn’t have been more enjoyable.

Lovely accommodation, well equipped and perfect for our needs,

just being a short distance from our youngest daughter who was getting married that week and why we were there.

Your generosity and recommendations helped the wedding be a very special day for us all.

We love Suffolk and hope to return very soon.

Very best

We couldn't recommend Leman cottage enough, it was the perfect place to spend the Easter holidays as a family. Trish was fantastic; great communication, brilliant local knowledge and she provided the warmest welcome. There's so much to do in the area for families and the cottage is full of games and books. The cottage itself is really cosy and has everything you could need, a great garden for kids to play and the internet connect is really strong so I was able to do some work. Overall, a great stay, we miss it already!  KJ Easter 2024

We felt we had stepped back in time! What a lovely stay! F & H August 2023

Thank you so much for our stay - it is a lovely cottage so full of character and charm. A July 2023

  • Pam and Andy had a wonderful time at Leman cottage.  It is a very special cottage and in a fantastic location.  We loved the Theatre in the woods at Thorington and went twice! Thank you for your walk recommendations and we did lots of them. The real highlight was a visit to Lavenham, a beautiful medieval village. I am sure we will be back and would also love to visit some of your other properties.  Every best wish for your Suffolk Coastal Cottages Business. P&A M July 2022

  • This is our second stay at Leman cottage.  We love it.  Peaceful, comfortable and such a brilliant base for getting about in Suffolk.  I could stay here quite happily for the whole summer, what a find, couldnot be better.  The sun shone all week the first time and again on this occasion.  R & C B June 2022

  • Thank you for all your wonderful hospitality during our 2 week stay. Leman Cottage is full of character and charm and had everything we needed. It is perfectly placed, just near enough to the beautiful Suffolk Heaths and Coast for easy access, yet just far enough to avoid the crowds. Also centrally placed for the surrounding pretty villages with all there historic charm, great pubs and network of public footpaths. So much to do - fantastic for walking, cycling, eating, shopping, wildlife and just generally relaxing. Will definitely be back. Why bother with the hassles of flying abroad when we have places like this on our doorstep. Many thanks again Trish for a fantastic holiday. Mark and Jo June 2022.
